Exhibition Contractors Saved Our Presentation From Disaster

If you have ever had the fortune to attend an exhibition you will know that they are usually sleek

, smart and professional events that often leave you will a feeling of confidence in the individuals or company that you just saw.

There is however a number of factors that go into the planning and preparation of the dramatic and eye catching stands or displays that you normally get to see. There is a team of on-site exhibition contractors that are around to help with the construction or modification of people stands when things go wrong and that is exactly what happened at my last exhibition.

I'm not normally a person who loves to give presentations, but when I have performed the appropriate amount of preparation then I can present a product with confidence. For this particular show I had been left in charge of very little, all I had to do was turn up, arrange with the exhibition contractors the setup of the stand and then give the presentation, which I thought was excellent, no stress, no drama and no problems.

Upon turning up at the site I quickly realised that the new member of staff who had been charged with shipping the exhibition stand had made a fundamental mistake and had failed to ship several parts of the stand. Suddenly I started to panic slightly, which is not the ideal preparation for giving a presentation. After several frantic phone calls to the office and I realised that it was down to me to dig myself out of the situation my colleague had placed me in.

The first port of call was the on-site exhibition contractors, I explained the situation that I had been placed in and they were absolutely fantastic and a couple of them quickly hatched a plan to replace the missing parts of our stand with some wood and scaffolding. Before I knew it our stand was looking similar in style to how it used to look, the exhibition contractors had done a stunning job.

A fundamental piece of equipment had failed to be shipped from the office that we were planning to store some brochures on. However, within about 15 minutes this team of highly trained carpenters had managed to fabricate a new storage unit that we could use for the duration of the show. It was down in part to the hard working exhibition contractors that our presentation passed without a hitch and we managed to obtain so many leads, without their help it would have been a complete disaster.
