Many firms provide benches or seating areas for their staff to enjoy sitting outside if the weather is nice. There are not enough sunny days for many people's liking so it is important to make the most of them when they come around. If a company has a garden area or at least a number of benches, staff members can enjoy their breaks or their lunch hour in the sunshine without having to sit on the grass or concrete. If there is the space, tables can also be used to allow staff to enjoy their lunch outside but this will also mean there is a need to install bins outside to ensure that litter does not become an issue.

Depending on the size of your company and its premises, there may be a lot of cars to cater for. This means that car parking spaces have to be provided and there should be an element of care provided to the cars as well. One way to increase the safety levels of cars parked in a car park is to introduce lighting to the car park.

If the car park area is properly lit, there is more chance of anything untoward being seen, which should help to reduce the risk of theft or breakages in a car park. Another important element of a car park is safety, particularly in areas where pedestrians and cars will cross over. Many car parks include speed bumps to slow traffic down and this can be very effective in ensuring that cars are travelling at a reasonable speed.

There are so many different aspects that impact on how a company portrays itself and it can be easy to focus on the internal factors but for many people, the exterior of the building will be the first impression they have of a company. It is therefore important to make as good a first impression as possible by ensuring the premises look as welcoming as possible.

As much as portable air conditioners are useful for the interior, smoking shelters and bike sheds are important for the exterior of an office.
