All students know that study is not confined only to academic experiences

. Young people should develop different skills. Thus, they often go in for sports and get involved in other extracurricular activities. One of creative activities for students can be useful even for career choice. This activity is gaining work experience. It can be arranged in different forms.

Major ways of gaining work experience

First of all, it is possible to create a student club which arranged different meetings with professionals in different areas or visiting some work places. Thus, young people may get to know the opinion of a person who is involved in some business for years. This person can tell the pros and cons of his/her profession. Student can have an idea what they can face in this or that career, and what will be expected from them. Another effective way to find out more about some profession is to go and see everything with your own eyes. So, students arrange visiting some companies or organizations. They spend several hours looking at the different processes. Of course, this experience cannot be learnt from reading some literature or web sites.

Another extremely effective extracurricular activity which can be useful for choosing the future career is part-time job or summer job. In this case students do not only see (or hear about) some peculiarities of different professions, they try to do the work themselves. So, they spend some time doing particular tasks and can understand whether they will be able to do it for the rest of their lives. Of course there are some more advantages:

1.Students get money which they can spend for their further education.

2.Students part time job can become their full time job after graduation. So, it is a good start of your career.

3.Students meet a lot of new people which is great since new acquaintances mean new opportunities.
