Fat Burning Workout Routines For Women With Pilates
Well, there's no doubt about it, my holidays with my family has packed on a few pounds
. It is a well known fact that I gain a lot of weight when travelling, simply because we enjoy the fast foods available. So I started to research some workout routines for women that won't nearly kill me but the results will be good.
My friend and I both put on weight easily so we kind of buddy up on our diet habits so that we have that much needed support system. We don't have too much problem following the basic rules of good grains and whole-wheat as opposed to white bread, rice, etc. We also both munch on carrot sticks instead of getting a bag of chips at work. But with the cruise we decided to just relax and enjoy all this life has to offer.
It usually isn't all that hard for either of us to get back on track and drop the weight quickly, but this time we went a little over-board (pardon the pun) on the cruise ship. We need to take some serious action, or we will have to buy new clothes!
It is true, as hard as it may be to accept, that you must exercise to affect a proper healthy weight loss. Neither one of us likes doing any thing beyond a walk in the park so we don't want a terribly extensive workout and we both are quite busy. Since we are the same as most women and gain belly fat, we decided to target that area in our search for exercise material.
We had no trouble narrowing down our search to pilates. They cover the entire body, and they tend to focus on one area of the body in each video you can get. We jumped on that right away since we are getting older and we need to start thinking about strengthening our body-cores so we can live with vitality.
Much of the top sites show the pilates with the highly intensified workouts on these big machines, you know, to get you all sweating etc. We opted for the floor type of exercises where you buy a simple mat and plug in the dvd and away you go!
I like this since I have no intention of purchasing a gym membership, since I've done that before and didn't attend the gym more than about five times. I also have no intention of purchasing any exercise bikes or other equipment, since I have done that and it ended up being used as a place to hang our coats.
To start with pilates, just go to a cheap store and get an exercise mat and put in the dvd and away you go. There's no reason your workout can't advance if you are really doing the workouts. A little later you could get some of those stretchy bands for toning your arm muscles or the big ball for balance training and there you have it, you've upgraded to more intense workout routines for women. If you don't have money for a dvd then do a search for video clips of pilates. There are many that show you how to position yourself so that you can jot it down and memorize it for your floor routine. The family is putting mats in the game room and we are all going to try this together and afterward we'll enjoy a movie.
