Safety features in new luxury cars include a range of protective and preventative systems to maximise safety on the road. These range from adaptive headlights and permanent four wheel drive to electronic stability programmes and pre-sense systems.

Adaptive headlights dynamically adjust to the movements of the steering-wheel, as well as changes in the vehicle's heading to help drivers to see further earlier in poor lighting conditions. This drastically improves safety by allowing drivers to see obstacles and other road-users early, giving them time to react.

When other systems would suffer from understeer or oversteer, all-wheel-drive systems are able to stay smooth and balanced. This provides high levels of safety and improved traction on all kinds of surfaces, for all-round better performance on any road condition.

An electronic stability programme detects when there is a loss of steering control and automatically applies the brakes to help keep the vehicle going in the direction intended by the driver. This improves the safety of a vehicle's stability by detecting and minimizing skids.

Pre-sense systems employ preventive protection measures to mitigate the consequences of a collision. They apply the use of radar sensors that scan the area in front of and behind the car.
