With the new year of 2012 developers, users and all those concerned with open source CMS expect something new right from January

A news website known as Composite C1 came out with its new release version 3.1 in the very first month of the year. Apart from fixing bugs this version offers you with new features and support for spell check in Firefox in more than 90 languages. It also has special dictionaries for specialized areas like medical, legal along with being supportive to LESS CSS. This adds support for CSS variables, features and functions from LESS project. With its inception a hackathon was hosted by the company in which there were 25 participants. The core team and community members collaboratively displayed keynotes and coding sessions in this event. Further the event also displayed the roadmap for 2012 which is the very initial roadmap for public.

eZ Publish: A new release of its latest version were bought out by eZ systems. This one brings 30 contributions from its community by rising compliance for PHP 5.4 at the same time adding a new tagging extension called eZ tags. Forge offers native support for repositories on GitHub Code. Feb brings an event of conference in which the companys publish board would be realeased or launched. It is said to be an online job-trading hub around eZ publish skills. This hub provides a new reputation-enabling system.
