. To find our environment turn inconclusive can be dejecting. Nothing seems to work even when you are working your hardest to meet deadlines . Ad-mist all the chaos one thought that might occur to you is this. What if you had been handed the reins of this project and not hearing things to do?. This thought is a cue for you to let the leader in you takeover.

Leaders are not born. Leaders, initially followers, at some point realize that they make things around them better if they were to lead. This is when they take the plunge. People have innate qualities but leadership is not one of them. To consider it a trait would not be correct as many qualities go to make a leader.

A leader can be appealing only if he has a direction to his thoughts that is coherent to those he intends to lead. No progress would be made if he is not clear and doesn't communicate properly. Many people tend to force their will on their subordinates. This is not the hallmark of a true leader. Every decision should be thoroughly weighed and discussed with the entire team before it is implemented. This would ensure that every voice is heard.

Effectively delegation lies at the center of all success. It is imperative for the leader that he understands the capabilities of each of his team mates and get them to do their best. His sense of purpose should be obvious to his followers so that everybody know where the team is heading without wondering if they are going the right way.


Leaders are effective communicators and negotiators. People who communicate well are considered natural leaders. But it should be known that communication skills are acquired over a duration. For a person to communicate well, he should know what know what he is talking about.

A leader should be level headed and trustworthy. Trust is difficult to build but it is even more difficult to maintain and garner respect. The learning process which one undertook to take the reins should never be abandoned. It takes time to acquire the traits that a leader needs to posses, and the process of becoming one will determine how good a leader you are.
