Find MLM Leads

Finding fresh MLM leads and network marketing prospects can be a difficult task if you are just cold calling everyone you know to see if they want to join your business. People today are weary of a new business opportunity. When I joined my first one (yes, I said first) I recall reading a manual on how to stealthily invite someone to coffee to discuss a unique business opportunity. Yeah...it kind of sucked.

Here's a revolutionary idea: Throw that old-school training book.

There was something that always occurred to me when I was told to make a list. Make a list of the people you know. If you could make a list of the people you don't know, which list would be longer? In that list of people you don't know (yet) how many leaders do you think you would find? How many quality business partners don't you know yet? That list of people you don't know would probably generate a much larger group of the kind of folks you actually want to partner with.

The big question: How do you find these valuable people? Or more importantly, how do they find you?

Remember the first girl or guy you really liked? Man! You wanted them bad! You followed them around. You pursued them until you got them to go steady with you (do they even use that phrase anymore?). Flowers, candy, calls, dates... all the stuff you thought they wanted or should want according to you. Funny thing is...the more you chased, the more they ran away.

This holds true for business contacts. The more you chase them around and try to pin them down on what you think they should have the more they resist.

When you have your own home based business you are really in marketing. It doesn't matter what the product is. You still have to find out what people want a give it to them. Or find the people that want what you have.

The key is, however, to remove that resistance. Here's what a good home based business marketing plan should accomplish: People should be finding you. You should not have to chase them down. When you become valuable to a market, you've got it made!

So how do you attract business? Where to you find these leads to attract? This is where some work comes into play. It is an ongoing learning process because the market is always changing. I suggest starting on the internet.

So here's what you need to know:

You need to know how to attract business

You need to tools to put that knowledge to work for you

You need to learn how to market yourself and not your system

You need to stop selling...and watch the money flow
