Make sure that it is safe to walk around the block by your home-to-be at dusk or later. Ask the police station how often they get calls for serious threats in that general area. Another consideration is the utilities that you will pay for with the home you are looking at renting.

Before renting the home, you should ask the landlord his or her view on caring for the property. You will need to know if the exterior property and interior repairs are your responsibility or the landlord's. Before making your final decision, you should also make sure that the home is checked for mold, bugs, and other small animals. Any of these issues should be cared for before you move in.

After checking out these areas and finding the location of the house for rent to be close enough to your workplace, now is the time to accept the terms and move to the new home. Being close to work will be so nice on those early mornings even if you do not feel like walking to work every day. You will save gas, and on the days you do walk, you will get fit.
