Its Sunday morning, my toddler is sitting on the floor playing blocks and Im snuggling in a warm throw with my middle child in a calm home and it makes me think about how folks battle with finding balance between business and life. I have an intimate view on this issue as I've personally experienced the pain of the day-to-day conflict as well as joy in finding balance between business and life.

Once upon a time, in the middle of May in the year 1998, I was in labor with my second baby and where was my husband? In and out of the hospital trying so hard to balance his clientele needs with mine. At the time, he couldnt, for whatever reason tell the client I needed him and was delivering his child. I think it was because he was genuinely fearful of losing the client. He wasnt going to lose me... after all I his wife and raising his children, but what would happen if he lost his client? The thought was too much for him. So, he never asked himself. The years went by and it was much the same as he put the business first. Having a business was EVERYTHING, the effort in finding harmony between business and life was simply not there. I knew what needed to be done, but it was something that he needed to learn for himself.

All of the self-improvement guides and programs in the world didnt help him with discovering balance between business and life. I never understood how a person could battle so much with a thing like this. I have generally lived my everyday life as if I would die tomorrow. I wake up every day and imagine how I can make someones life better. He had his blinders on, practically nothing would take his eyes off from his dream of having his own business, not even his spouse and children. What on earth is the formula for acquiring balance between business and life anyway? It doesnt take a self-improvement expert to answer this one. Yet, it seems to be ellusive for many people.

The Answer To Finding Harmony Between Business And Everyday Life Is Less complicated For Some People

Your loved ones could be taken from you in a flash. What would I do without my sweet sunshine girl? Thats what I call my middle daughter, Samantha, who is now thirteen. What would I ever do without my first baby, Matthew? If he actually heard me refer to him as a baby, hed die right there on the spot! Its not cool for a mom to talk about her practically 16-year old son like that is it? Living is so worthwhile and it doesnt take too much contemplating to figure that out. So, why did my husband battle the way he did? It was all for a dream. I cant fault him for that, I just wanted to be his dream. All of us have various dreams to work toward, and this is good, healthy and WONDERFUL. Be careful not to focus too much on a single aspect of your dreams because your other dreams could slip away without you even realizing.

Now Finding Balance Between Business And Life Is A Family Affair!

We have been married for almost 18 years and it took him almost half of those years to figure out that his family was THE most significant thing in his life. Changing businesses saved our family! Weve been in business since 1995 and have done different types of business and succeeded at them all at least financially. The perfect business for a family, believe or not, is multi-level marketing, at least in my opinion. Particularly because we earn our living in so many different ways. The flexibility of working from home and earning money has been so wonderful for us. We even get a tax break by hiring our older children. My son helps with a lot of the internet marketing, while my middle daughter helps with graphics and videos. My husband well, hes the backbone. Hes got his head straight now and works with the traffic generation and system funnels while giving himself to the family increasingly more each day. For anybody struggling with finding balance between business and life, all you have to do is think about how to integrate your family in what you do, but I advise starting a home-based business. Finally, keep your head focused towards the folks in your life every day!
