Another effective look is to place it on top of a piece of furniture so that is almost looks like a bowl.

Toilet

If you have the luxury of extra room or better still and 'L' shaped room try tucking it away in the corner so that it is almost out of the way. As people walk in it will make the bathroom feel much more spacious and even add a little extra privacy as the toilet feels further away from the door.

Footed baths look very luxurious and it a simple way to make the bathroom appear slightly bigger as it allows for more visible floor place. As light doesn't reach the areas under the bath you a good tip is to add some lighting to underneath to really set it off. This also stops the underside from getting dirty as you can see the visible dirt meaning you should clean it more!

Colours

Along with lighting, colour is one of the most important parts of bathroom design. To ensure you have a relaxing bathroom try using soft pastel colours for the walls but contrast it with darker tiles. Making it too soft can make the bathroom feel cold so explore different colour combinations to get the best look.

Lighting

Lighting can be difficult to get right. You don't want your bathroom to look too bright as it will give too much of a clinical feel, nor do you want it to be too dim as it will not accentuate the features. Try using soft spot lights that are positioned in key parts of your bathroom namely above your bath toilet and wash basin. To get even more of a luxurious effect you can add lighting lower down on the floor level.
