Keep your thoughts for luxuries separate and focus solely on whether the car meets your necessary criteria - if it does, great; if it doesn't, move on and don't be tempted by its looks or luxury features.

5. Insurance group - along with fuel costs, outside of the actual cost of the car, your insurance is likely to be one of your most expensive outgoings.

Therefore, it's strongly recommended that you find out what insurance group the car you're looking to buy falls into and maybe even get some quotes for insurance coverage, as if your cars falls into any group over group 10, you should expect to pay a substantial amount of money for your annual insurance premium.
