. Kits should include the flagpole shaft, gold flag pole ball ornament, aluminum flash collars, retainer rings and a few other parts including the foundation or ground sleeve.

Different sized flash collars are readily available for your flagpole. One such flash collar type is the so called "trumpet collar." These collars are applied where a shoe-base is welded to the bottom of flagpoles. Having said that, trumpet collars can be used on in-ground type flagpoles if a higher profile is wanted. They also function as a helpful aid to raise and lower flags. Interestingly, retainer rings can also be used on large multi-grommet flags on both external and internal halyard type poles as a means to keep a banner close to the flagpole and to reduce the strain on the upper and lower grommets of a flag.
