The Vice President also explained that with the pesticide now off the market, the simple and safe solution to the beetles was now gone and the only remaining option is to fumigate the entire house.

The Environmental Protection Agency has released a sanctioned and efficient replacement for powder post beetle regulation known as pentachlorophenol, and it is very similar in price to the banned pesticide. The end result is that the American homeowner can relax, knowing that there will not be a substantial rise in the price of the necessary pesticide. The EPA spokesman stated that this proclamation was founded on the deposition of the banned pesticide's creator and the pest control association.
