Forum Posting: Paid Posters Vs Self Posting

many people visits internet forums which are great place of community interactions

and just wonders if they can build a forum of themselves or not.

Many new forums starts everyday but how many of them actually get off to the hook? Forums are great place for interaction. But they are also very hard to get going. One of the reasons is that forum participation needs time and motivation. They need people to come out of the hook and participate.

Basically forums are great place for learning and getting help. So what people does is join a forum and post their query which few and very few answers.

The ration of answerer to questioner is about 99.3% vs .7% and may be more drastic .

However in community forums like webmaster forum, there are more discussions and more posts par threads. Although is such community forums similar discussions are more.

There is another issue with forum, main forum traffic comes from search engines or other forums where you participate in looking for something. Once the objective is fulfilled, they seldom return. But there are certainly some exceptions where people find the place so great that they just glued to it.....

Many of you are aware that it is quite a difficult task to join members in a forum. Especially when the forum is new,

many webmaster gets frustrated at the initial stage itself that there are no joinings. Many opt to go for paid posters. These are the professional forum posters who posts original content in the forum in exchange of money. Range of money varies from forum to posting.

There is another alternative. Post by yourself. Create a few account and keep posting through various accounts.

There are different opinions about what is the best strategy. But from my experience I can tell you that self posting is by far the better technique. This is because when you start a forum you have a perspective like what you want to do in the forum. What kinds of discussions are suited in the forum . So when you start posting, there are certain methods for it..... You will post the queries that you find not being answered over the internet. So even if the postings are minimum, they are meaningful.

Now take the case of pp. They will seldom do the research. Because growing your forum is least in their agenda. If you have 1000 active participants, would you really pay a pp? Never. So pp postings are at best random and even unique postings are meaningless to say the least. Therefore a great way to grow your forum is your participation.

You will see over time only the forums where the webmaster himself is active outgrown others.

Take this as a serious advice and keep posting. This is your site and you bring value to the site. When initially you give it a momentum, you understand it better. A Paid poster can never bring off a great forum.
