Take a stroll around all the freelance writing job boards that you are a member of, or would want to be one. I have been, as a freelance writer for the last 2 years, doing this as a regular exercise. While I have managed to hog a few deals to my name, and am slowly transitioning to make it big in the domain of freelance writing, some of my colleagues havent just been so fortunate. The news is They have fallen prey to the freelance writing scams! The bad news is In these 2 years, nothing seems to have changed at all! The freelance writing money-sucking, time-wasting devils still lurk in some corner of the Internet! The good news is You can now easily spot these freelance writing scams! Phew Tell me more. So, here we go Are you a retired individual, or a student, or a Mommy? As a freelance writer myself, I fail to understand how the above mentioned three people can do a decent job of freelance writing. I am not, for one moment saying, their writing is bad. It is just that writing is not situational. It has to be more of a profession, at the best. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and so on The sub-title is not a typo, so please read on. Any freelance writing ad that has something like that in it, is one that would catch your eye. Probably, the multitude of !s have done their trick! At best, they are just that, with no substance in them. Make up to $15,000 and above, PER DAY (WHATTTTTT!!!) Sorry for the extra emphasis on T, but I fail to understand how someone can make $15,000, $20,000 and some really astronomical figures quoted in some of these freelance writing ads. I mean HOW! Please explain this to me. If it is really worthwhile, I wouldnt mind compromising my writing career for so many bucks. No answers come forth really! And lets be clear If it was so simple, every Tom, Dick and Harry in this world would be boasting of a Private Boeing, an apartment in Las Palmas and a Lamborghini!! Pay us $XX and this opportunity is yours I may be rather inelegant in my choice of words here, but I hope you got the message. Thats it Plenty of job opportunities end up demanding money from people. Yes, we are talking about freelance writing opportunities. Ideally, it has to be the other way around! Your employers should be paying you money for doing the work. Doesnt it make sense? Unless you are living in Planet Mars or somewhere else You may earn or you may get a chance to work with us My response to such ads is, Speak to me when I can earn money with you, not when I maybe will be in a position to earn money. Simple My flat owner doesnt allow me to maybe pay his rent! The gas pump doesnt allow me to maybe pay money and get a tank refill. And so on.. So, why should freelance writers write and maybe earn? Period! Conclusion Freelance writing is definitely something that can work for you, if you have the in-built desire to WRITE. Dont worry about such scammy ads appearing on the Internet! They would until the time the Internet exists. Turn a blind eye to them and work on genuine freelance writing opportunities!About the Author:
