Future Dealings Of The Oil And Natural Gas Companies

Novel deepwater drilling projects are postponed by the United States Government after

the disaster of BPs Oil well in the Gulf of Mexico and the United States Government has put ban on oil drilling near the Coastal region of Florida. In the forth coming year a Spanish company is expected to drill a fresh well sited, 50 miles away from Florida. Currently Cuba is producing a small amount of Oil, according to the oil analyst and experts predictions, the Northern Coast of the country may contain plethora of Oil resources. The oil extracted in the Northern Coast will be sufficient and it will equal to the amount produced by Ecuador and Colombia, these are the world famous largest oil producer and it can stop depending on Venezuela for their energy and oil necessary.

This Cuban venture may lead to huge risks to the United States and the island nation, many oceanographers have warned that, the drilling may break out like the BP disaster and within a short time of the oil ejection it may reach the beaches in the Cuba and Florida Keys. If the oil spew from the disaster reaches the Gulf Stream, the herculean ocean stream may carry those spew to the Miami coastal line and may even extend beyond Miami. The Cuban dont have the latest precautionary equipments possessed by the United States such as the submarine robots, the deepwater rig equipment and they did not possess the readymade platform to take preliminary relief measures in short span of time.

According to Wayne Smith declared in the Carter and Reagan administrations declared that, Cuba is equanimous to embark on the off shore Oil and natural gas drilling at the start of the next year. Wayne Smith also remarked that this oil venture will yield good fortune for Cuba, buy they should be mindful on the drilling methods since the drilling is taking place 90 miles away from Florida. A Tri-national Initiative for Marine Science and Conservation Conference took place recently; the representatives of various countries were present in the conference and the focused on the kinship among the Cuba, Mexico and United States and not on oil drilling.

The Marine Science and Conservation Conference also addressed the preservation of the ecosystem and on the disturbance caused to the flora and fauna found in the deep oceans. The conference also had a special session to discuss on the Oil Spill disaster caused by the BP in the Gulf of Mexico region and to decrease the effects caused by it and the tri-national will work united to prevent such disaster in the future.
