Gbc Proclick Binding For Beginners
One of the easiest and least expensive ways to bind your documents is by using GBC ProClick spines
. GBC has the binding market cornered with their high-quality binding machines, and their ProClick binding spines offer yet another innovative way to produce professional-looking documents. Here's a beginner's guide to GBC ProClick binding so you can find out what they can do for you.
A GBC ProClick spine is a plastic binding spine that can easily be opened and closed either by hand or with a tool. You can readily edit documents bound with ProClick spines because they can be re-opened over and over again, so you can continually add to your document. ProClick spines are available in a few different colors (black, white, frost, navy blue) and are available in three sizes: 5/16", 1/2", and 5/8". The spines allow for 360-degree rotation so your booklets will lie flat, making it easy to read and photocopy them. This makes these spines ideal for binding items such as photo albums, reference materials, user manuals and training guides.
ProClick spines are available in boxes containing 25 and 100 spines. You can also get them in cartridges that can be used with GBC's ProClick Pronto P3000 binding machine, which both punches your paper and binds your document for you. Not very many binding systems allow you bind both manually and with a machine, so this makes ProClick spines one of the most versatile binding methods currently available.
That said, there are some limitations when it comes to using ProClick spines. The spines themselves are 11 inches long (for binding letter-sized documents) and they're not currently available in larger sizes. However, if you want to bind a document that's shorter than 11 inches, you can cut the spine down with a pair of scissors. Also, as mentioned above, there are only four colors and three sizes of spines available. If the colors and sizes don't mesh well with your company's image, you should probably choose another binding method, such as plastic comb binding.
In addition to the ProClick Pronto P3000 binding machine, GBC manufactures a couple of other products to help you get started with ProClick binding. One of these is the ProClick P50 punch. This punch retails for about $50.00 and it quickly punches your paper so you can either bind a totally new document or insert new pages into an existing one. This makes it easy to bind and edit documents on the road, if necessary, so it's a great gadget to have if your company's sales representatives need to make changes to their work while they're away from the office. Finally, GBC makes special zipper tools that make it easy to open and close the binding spines. Every box of spines comes with one of these tools, but it's always good to have an extra few on hand, especially since they're cheap: you can get one for less than $2.00.
GBC ProClick binding spines are a cool new way to bind your documents. They're easy to use and offer a portable binding method that's perfect for your company's reports, marketing materials, and so on. Check out GBC ProClick binding for yourself and find out what it can do for you!
