. Simply go to Google places then fill out your address, hours, services, etc.

The trick is to put your local keyword in the box that asks for company name. For example if i wanted to target Pittsburgh Towing and my company name was Adam's Towing I would put Pittsburgh Towing instead of Adam's Towing to target people searching for the common keyword Pittsburgh towing. This works well with phrases also like Junk Car Pittsburgh or We Buy Houses Pittsburgh etc. I've had great success with this method. Remember that some one searching for my towing service in Pittsburgh is going to search by putting my area's name followed by the service or product they are looking for. So if i lived in Tampa FL i and owned Bob's Painting i would rename it as Tampa Painting or Tampa Painting Contractor.

To figure out the exact keyword that is most searched for in your industry you can use Google keyword external to figure out how many people are searching for that and similar terms. With about 5 minutes of keyword research and 10 minutes listing your business on Google places you will have created a free targeted listing for your company.
