At present there are about thirty eight different countries that allow au pairs to work within the confines of their country.

Once you have been matched up with a host family it is then just a chase of sorting out the appropriate paper work, which once more the nanny agency will assist you through. When all the paper work is sorted, you can then start to get ready to move to your new country and get working with your new host family.

When you decide to work as a nanny there are a number of things that you should be expected to do and also a number of benefits that you should expect to receive from the host family. Obviously all of your lodging fees will be free, as will all of your utility bills within the house. You can expect to receive a small wage from the host family, but obviously you shouldn't expect this money you receive to be substantial as you are in part receiving you wage with your lodgings being taken care of.

For all of this you will obviously be expected to provide a service back to the host family. The first service that you will be expected to perform is fairly self explanatory, looking after the host families children will be your main task, but you may also be asked to perform a number of house cleaning and maintenance tasks around the house. However, this isn't normally a problem to perform.
