Creating curls to your hair is a trendy style and that can be done by using a curling iron
. Coming in a variety of styles and sizes, they are a quick, easy means to style your hair. Whether it is ceramic or tourmaline plated, small curling irons (.75 inch width) help to obtain springy spirals and tight curls. The procedure of curling is same for all the irons and will take about 45 minutes to complete the process.
The required materials for curling your hair are: A curling iron (with small plate width), a heat protectant cream or serum and a hair spray.
Initially, plug the curling iron to the electric supply and allow it to heat up. Adjust the heat setting to the optimum temperature suited for your hair. If you have thick or course hair, then a high heat setting is needed, while if you have fine or thin hair, low heat setting will be enough.
Dry your hair completely and make it free from tangles. Apply the heat protectant cream all over your hair. Now partition the hair into small sections (1-2 inch width) and take one section and clamp it inside the plates of curling iron. Roll the curling iron inwards so that the hair gets wrapped up around the curling iron. Roll the entire length of hair inside the curling iron. Hold the iron in this position for about 10 seconds. Now open the clamp and gently glide the hair out of the iron.
Repeat the same process until all the hair is curled. Finish it by applying a hairspray which will help in retaining the curls for a longer period. You can slightly touch up the hair to enhance the curl and bounce. Do not use a hair brush or do not touch up the curls too much, as it will lead to frizz and the curls will be lost.
Tips:- Clip the uncurled section of hair using a hair clip. This will help you in concentrating on the section that is being curled. Do not touch the plates of the curling iron while it is plugged on. It can cause severe burns.
