Get it right from the floor up!

Not everyone has the time to trawl through every shop in the High Street to find

good quality bedroom accessories for their child (does anyone?!) and this is where the web really comes into it's own. Everyone has heard the horror stories about the poor quality products, the slow delivery and the appalling service that also comes with this kind of shopping - take in a few of these tips to ensure that you only deal with the best in the business and can spot the jokers a mile away leaving you to spend your time with your son or daughter in their gorgeously finished bedroom!

1 - Call them. Ok, so it takes a little longer, but it's worth it for the peace of mind. Dodgy sellers that anger their customers might not answer the phone. Good sellers will answer whenever you want to call.

2 - Ask a silly question. By far the easiest way to spot if they know what they're talking about, do they need to think about it or do they know straight away? Stick with the guys that know the answers and deliver them quickly.

3 - Ask a sensible question.Childrens rugs are not only a great way to make your son/daughter's room their own, they also give you endless queries to call from - can you machine wash it? How thick is the pile? What is it made from? Where was it made? If they draw a blank, find someone else.

4 - Google them. So they answered the phone and all your questions, now to see what other people's experiences have been. Enter their company name in Google with the word 'review' and almost every company will have one hiding away somewhere. Take them with a pinch of salt - people have different expectations from a service so look for the facts ie 'terrible - delivery took 2 weeks' or 'delivery only took 2 weeks'.

While it looks like a lot, this actually doesn't take that long and could save you a lot of hassle in the long-run.

Remember if you love your child's new children's bedroom accessories, let the world know - tell your friends, tell parents in the playground and then tell the company you bought them from (they probably never hear from the people they've given the best service to). If you really love them then why not like them on Facebook too - all these things might just make somebody else's life a little easier when they come to reinventing their child's bedroom!
