, then you should get a phone from the Sony Ericsson GreenHeart line. It is a range of eco-friendly mobile phones that were created with the aim of reducing the carbon footprint by various means. For example, a GreenHeart phone foregoes the usual paper manual. Instead, it comes with an electronic manual loaded into the device in order to save on paper. It is made with recycled plastic without the dangerous and hazardous chemicals and uses only waterborne paint, which is friendlier to the environment compared to the usual solvent-based paint. A GreenHeart device also comes with minimal packaging in order to further reduce waste products and follow its green outlook. Introducing the Hazel One of the mobile phones in the GreenHeart line is the Sony Ericsson Hazel, which is set to be released sometime in the second quarter of 2010. According to rumors, the Hazel will cost less than 600 on its own, and even cheaper than that when you get a plan. This is a pretty good price if you consider not only its eco-friendly approach, but also its elegant design and outstanding features. The Design of the Hazel The Hazel has an elegant curved design to ensure that once open, it will follow your facial contours whenever you talk to someone on the phone. It is pretty handy, measuring only 102 x 49 x 16 mm and weighing only 120 grams. You shouldnt have a problem carrying the Hazel around due to its size and weight. The Hazel has an impressive 2.6 inch TFT touch screen which offers support for up to 16 million colours. It has a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, which makes for a brilliant, energy efficient display. There is also a scratch-resistant surface to cover the screen to prevent minor scratches. The Hazel comes in two dramatic colours Passionate Rouge and Superior Black. The Features of the Hazel The Sony Ericsson Hazel has a built-in Widget manager in the home screen, which can allow easy access to your favorite social networking sites. It has an integrated music player with built-in support for the innovative application SensMe. SensMe can create a personalized playlist for you depending on your mood by picking songs from your music library with similar tempo and beat from the songs youve initially chosen. For example, if youre in the mood for relaxing acoustic songs, you dont need to create a playlist containing all such songs in your music library. You only need to use SensMe to automatically find songs that would match your mood. Unfortunately, the Hazel does not seem to have the usual 3.5 mm audio jack, so you would have to use the FastPort connector. However, the Hazel does have Bluetooth 2.1 that comes with A2DP support, so you can easily listen to music wireless if you have a stereo Bluetooth headset. The Hazel also offers a range of top-end connectivity options such as HSPA support, Class 10 EDGE and GPRS and WiFi 802.11 b/g. The internal memory capacity is 319 MB, but this can easily be expanded up to a maximum of 16 GB with the use of microSD cards.
