Giving the Chicago Workforce a New Tool with 4G Wireless Services

No matter what type of terrific new technology is helping the workforce of today meet its goals

, there is always room for improvements. While it is obvious that the internet has indelibly changed the way business is transacted, that was only the beginning of the biggest changes in the way people communicated. Getting the next level of cell phone service the 2G networks was a big step in the professional lives of many. From that point on, it was only a matter of time until the 3G networks brought wireless internet to the masses. Would that be the most anyone could expect?

The 3G networks which brought internet to cell phones and laptop computers were definitely a gigantic breakthrough in the way business got done. There are so many types of jobs which benefited from the 3G technology. For realtors out with clients, it offered a way to workshop different ideas while in the middle of a showing. If a property wasnt working for a client, you could present new pictures from a website and start emailing the listing agent to see if an appointment was available. For the fashion stylist, communicating with clients meant voiding any unnecessary trips back to the boutiques when an outfit didnt fit the look of a shoot.

If you thought that was as far as wireless internet could go, the introduction of the Chicago 4G network has undoubtedly shown you some of the possibilities that lay ahead. Right off the bat, you have to realize that the amount of territory uncovered by the 4th generation network has been drastically reduced. In fact, the idea is that there are no areas uncovered throughout the city. If such a thing sounds unlikely, youre probably underestimating the force of the technology at work. When the WiMax network in Chicago was being planned, it was obvious that certain things had to completely trump the previous protocol. If there was decent browsing speed with 3G service, the next level up had to be 3 or 4 times as fast. If there were limited spots where service was unavailable, those had to be cut down even further.

In other words, the 4G network had to be the final word in wireless services, something which would make the local workforce hum along as never before. All kinds of nontraditional workplaces are popping up in cafes never before internet-enabled, in parks surrounded by trees and fresh air, in makeshift mobile offices and even at the edge of the citys limits. As a tool for business, its obvious that this new system is going to be the only way to get things done. The prices early on do not seem prohibitive in the slightest, making the early deals seem that much more attractive. Can it improve? As with everything else, over time it will probably get even better, making the hesitation you feel early on disappear entirely.
