God and the Devil! Duality, Reality and human myth! Part II
If the Devil has equal power to that of God then he would not have failed in his temptation. But the Gospel story proves he was not and was much lesser than even a human being Christ himself.
But, the power of the devil is granted him by God, His creator, and it is strong enough to dissuade man from God's path and persuade him to leave the path of God and follow the Devil's path. If this is not the case, then how can the Devil persuade humans, and there are lots of those who are persuaded to go away from the path of God and to follow the way of the Devil?
The Devil persuaded man out of Paradise. He persuaded man to sin against God. He was responsible for man's expulsion. But the devil himself was equally expulsed from the Garden along side man, Adam and Eve. So the power granted byu God to the Devil is very strong in as far as man himself permits the Devil to execute his job and be successful at it.
The Devil has no power none whatsoever to force you or compel you in any way, whether physically, mentally, psychologically or spiritualy. He is only permitted to invite you and seduce you and tempt you. You have always the right andresponsibility, the power and the freedom of will to follow his temptation or to reject it, just like Christ did.
In reality, it is man who decides, for himself, whether to hearken to the Devil and follow his way and to leave the path of God and abandon His worship. The devil has at his disposal all the means of temptations man can be seduced by. He has all the means of persuasion to convince man to do evil and he has a lot of success, as we can observe in this world, So many humans are persuaded by the temptations of the devil and they in consequence leave the path of God, deny God and bow down to the Devil.
This can in no way be interpreted that the power of the Devil is equal to the power of God. For if God will then all humans would believe in Him, worship Him and serve Him, as the scriptures profess. But God has created humans in order to try them and test their will. The purpose of man's existence is but to find the way to God and to acknowledge God as the Lord of the universe. I
f man succeeds in his task then God rewards man with eternal felicity. If man fails in his task and purpose of his life, then man is punished in hell fire. A major factor in the test and trial of man is the Devil and his temptations.
Exploiting all what is at his disposal, of the profits and advantages of this world, such as wealth, possessions, kingdoms, power, glory, fame, position, control and dominance, the Devil's mission is to dissuade man from the worship of God and be an enemy to God Himself and thus meriting hell fire in full right.
It is in reality the mission of man not to succumb to the devil and to prove himself to be the constant worshipper of God, His Lord. The Devil has no coercive power to force humans to follow his way or to comply by his command. Man alone decides for himself.
All astuteness lies in this difference and the responsibility of man himself towards God and himself!
