Going Back To The Clean Days

The term Clean Eating is one that I have seen a lot lately

. Actually it is not all that new, but has been re-energized. Eating clean is actually as simple as it sounds. Ok I will admit that it doesnt sound that simple. It sounds like you take food and wash it. Well that is not quite the idea. Eating clean is better known as eating nature like or the way nature intended. Eating clean is eating a diet of foods that we were meant to eat such as fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. Eating clean is not supplements, or diet pills. Eating clean is not starving yourselves. In fact, the whole premise behind clean eating is eating more often so you actually eat less and stay full, thus keeping your metabolism running. Eating clean is a lifestyle, and the results are guaranteed. There is absolutely no way to fail. You wont upset your blood sugar, or your metabolism. You will have the energy you need to get through the day because your body will have the fuel that it needs. Everything will be balanced, and as we always say, balance is the key to every success. A few things that eating clean is not, is counting calories or a fad. The thing about eating clean is that you are eating right so if you need to lose weight you will and if you dont need to lose weight you just maintain. The one thing you wont do is gain weight. Also, clean eating is not a diet you dont have to count calories and you can have a treat every now and then. Eating clean is probably the cheapest diet on the market. Mostly because as stated before it is not a diet per say. There are no weird gadgets or diet pills to buy. It is really simple. Research shows this is actually what is so hard about eating clean. As a society we have been trained that diets have to be hard. After all, it took us years to put on the weight; it shouldnt be so easy to take off the weight right? But it is, food is supposed to be fun. Food is good for you. It is all about changing your mindset. Stop seeing food as the enemy and start seeing food as the fuel to pushing your body into shape. We are the ones who contaminated our diets with junk. Trans fat and high fructose corn syrup. Years ago the world didnt worry about dieting, they also didnt worry about diseases such as diabetes, and high cholesterol. Getting back to clean eating is all about channeling our better past generations. It may take a bit more effort, but cooking in our own kitchens, choosing the right natural food, and moderate exercise will take us back, in time and in pounds.
