Google Search Has Changed for Local Mobile Marketing

I want to share some very important changes that greatly effect businesses with a local clientele, those with customers within a short driving distance.

I want to help the economy. Of course, I'd like to help my economy, and I think it all starts with helping the economy of local businesses.

I've put together a video series, "20 Tips To Grow By", for businesses with a local market to a) help them get found by the people already looking for them, and b) help them do more business with their current customers and visitors.

These are tips, not step-by-step instructions; strategies that we will learn best by doing.

On the other hand, the information in the videos could be vital to the success of your business. I offer you a Free Marketing Analysis because it is so important and I know I can help.

Ultimately, we will develop a long-term marketing strategy that combines online, offline, and mobile phone marketing into one plan!

The first in the series is: Google search has changed for local small business. Mobile phones, online mapping, and GPS have changed how we shop and market all around the world.

This video is a screen capture video of me using Google Search and demonstrating, in particular, some of the newer features: 1) Instant 2) map and place page results where organic results used to be 3) map that follows you as you scroll down the page

In general the trend Google has shown is: 1) toward a map based result for local searches

2) to provide a geo-targeted result for the searcher (one that takes their exact location into account) 3)by providing the mobile-enabled functions to accommodate the mobile phone searcher.

When we have nothing in the search bar and "Instant" is on, then Google doesn't know what we want. But as soo as we start typing something, I'll just put in a "p", Google will try to guess what I want. Where I'm heading is "L" and then "U". When I get up to "u", Google thinks there's a possibility I'm looking for a local search for plumber. Recently I've done some searches for plumber in Indianapolis, so Google's best guess is Plumber Indianapolis and so we show a map, we show a few organic results, and then if we scroll down we'll see we have 7 mapped results with their letters, so we have a geographic understanding of where these places are. And below that is 4 more organic results.
