A corporation owned by an American named Ron Shane Flynn is moving ahead with plans in building a waste energy facility in San Fernando Pampanga. The goal is to finish the establishment by the end of this year. Steps have been made to ensure the completion of this project and its goal to supply energy from waste plants, which would provide a local solution for the increasing waste problems of the country. As our modern lifestyle depends upon energy with each passing day it becomes more evident that a clean, cost effective and climate friendly technologies must be deployed as rapidly as possible.

What is gasification technology?

It is a term that describes a chemical process by which hydrocarbon materials such as coal and biomass are converted to syngas be means of partial oxidation with air, oxygen or steam. As hydrocarbon feedstock is fed into high-pressure, gasifier surrounding a limited amount of oxygen and steam. Under reducing conditions through chemical bonds in the feedstock are severed by extreme pressures and heat thus the syngas is formed. The syngas is then cleansed using commercially available and proven to eliminate sulfur ad trace metals.

Why is gasification significant and beneficial for us?

As we all know, we are still striving hard with what the economy has to spare for us at such times. With the declining reserves of petroleum and natural gases; the only pathway to a future is where energy prices are cost efficient and that it produces stable energy. The qualifications of gasification to replace natural gas and petroleum are a valid reason to deploy such verified technology in the world market.
