Growing Your Network Marketing Business. Is Offline Marketing Or Online Marketing Better?

The traditional way of growing your network marketing business was through offline marketing techniques. Many people, lately have had a lot of success through online marketing. Is one better than the other?

Going online with your MLM business is a way to reach literally thousands of people each month. It is a way to make a name for yourself as a leader and you can expand your business to a national or international level successfully if it is done right. Staying offline and concentrating on offline marketing activities is something that most network marketers continue to do, however. They like being able to talk with their clients and business builders in person. They reach fewer people offline, but have a higher rate of enrolling people into their business and it is what they are used to so their level of confidence is higher.

I actually use a combination of online and offline marketing campaigns, techniques and tasks and sometimes they overlap. Let me explain. When I contact peole via Facebook, as an example, and they are interested in my business because they attended one of my MLM webinars, I will call them by phone to basically end the offline communication between us and begin to talk offline because it is more personal and it is easier to begin training them to grow their own network marketing business. Visa versa, there are times when I use my offline techniques, for instance when I attend expos and other networking events, gather the business cards of those marketing the booths, and then call them to follow up. If they are interested in learning more about the business opportunity, I will invite them by email to one of my webinar presentations online.

Online services like presentation webinars, Facebook, Twitter, blog services, and other online affiliate programs have really helped me transform my business. Nothing, however, can take the place of talking with people on the phone or actually meeting in person with them. I would say that about 40% of my marketing activities are from offline sources and 60% of my time is spent expanding my network marketing business online. I like the combination of reaching thousands of people, being able to enroll local people, talking with those I've met online via the telephone, and sending offline prospects online to view my company presentations! I see online marketing techniques as a great tool to build my business and I see offline marketing techniques as a tried and true way of steadily building my organization the old fashioned way- but with a twist of online meetings thrown in!

I always recommend this in my articles but the only way to find out what is right for you is to educate yourself. If you are a traditional "offliner", find out how the online way of marketing your business might help you enhance your offline marketing activities. If you are already online, use your online techniques, like webinars to pull in more local people. By using a combination of online and offline marketing tasks you may find that you are growing your network marketing business faster and more efficiently. I highly recommend a combination of both because it is working for me and for the others I know, who are utilizing both ways in their MLM business!
