As the name suggests, the HTC HD Mini is a compact handset

, however this does not mean it lacks any features that you may find a larger handset.

The HTC HD Mini measures 103.8x 57.7x11.7mm, making it one of the smallest Smartphones currently available. It weighs in at a pocket friendly 110 g, which also makes it comfortable to hold and use on the move.

With a wealth of features, the screen on their HTC HD Mini measures 3.2 inches and utilises a pixel layout of 320x 480 pixels in order to display up to 65K colours, resulting in high quality display of the on screen content, making it perfect for viewing photos and video files as well as that HTC Sense user interface.

Along with vibration and ringing, with the option to assign music files as ringtones, the HTC HD Mini can also features a speakerphone system for hands free communication on the move along the 3.5 mm audio Jack which accommodates hands free kits as well as earphones for listening to music.

A vast internal phonebook is included which can store a practically unlimited number of entries and fields and also boasts the ever popular Photocall feature. This allows users to assign a photo to a particular contact within the phonebook, and this is then in turn displayed on screen whenever that person calls. Along with the standard internal memory, an integrated micro SD card slot is included which can accommodate a memory card of up to 32 GB. Therefore a large number of files can be stored, indeed an entire digital music collection.

The handset can be connected to other compatible hardware such as mobile phones and computers in order to carry out a number of different tasks thanks to Bluetooth and micro USB connections. Class 10 versions of both GPRS and EDGE provide the primary means of connecting to cellular networks. Access to the Internet relies on 3G coverage, whereby an HSDPA connection provides speeds of up to 7.2 mega bytes per second along with an HSUPA connection at 2 MB per second. Wi-Fi allows a faster Internet connection to be achieved whenever it senses the signals provided by wireless Internet routers.

High quality still images and video footage can be shot with the handsets integrated 5 mega pixel digital camera. This operates at a pixel resolution of 2592x 1944 pixels resulting in excellent quality snapshots. Both Autofocus and touch focus are included to simplify the task of taking great quality pictures. Video footage can be shot at a rate of 30 frames per second, and this is in VGA quality.

A long list of applications and features makes the HTC HD Mini an ideal Smartphone for everyday use. Appealing entertainment features are included such as a versatile media player, radio player and games along with social networking integration and a document viewer. Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Professional is the operating system of choice which works in conjunction with a 600 MHZ processor to handle demanding applications with ease.

As well as providing aesthetic appeal, this compact handset is sure to appeal to a number of different users thanks to its wide range of functionality and features.
