Light is a basic source for photography and in order to get the perfect photographic effect we must strategically use the correct amount of light. This perfection in photography would be achieved based on how much light you project on the subject. It should not be over exposed or under exposed. It is an important equipment used during photographic setup and a must have equipment in the studio. Some photographers don't use it because they think it is a complex lighting setup but it is very simple. Three items are needed to setup a Hair light, they are boom kit, softbox and spiral fluorescent bulb.
Why you must use Hair-Light
Hair light is an ideal choice and it can be used as second light in studio lighting setup. The main usage is that it focuses subject's hair from behind. It beautifully portraits the hair of the subject and separates it from the bright background. If we don't use this useful equipment then the subject head get fully smudged with the background and we will not get much details of the subject's shape and structure. The main function is to give good depth for portrait photography. Rectangular softbox of the size 50cm x 70cm can also be used for portraits photography in the hair light setup and if you follow the instruction you can easily achieve the without any complexity.
