Hair Scissors - A Stylist's Wand

As a kid, I have enjoyed frequent trips to the local salon

. I loved to flip through fashion magazines while I patiently waited for my turn. I often observed lovely women clients getting their hair trimmed, or some ladies wanting their hair curled to the fullest volume. I have even witnessed teenagers wanting their hair dyed pink and violet, and I can't help but secretly laugh to myself because they resembled my pet parrot.

I can also remember vividly how I had been curious with the salon environment. Having been exposed to this kind of setting, I considered the salon as one of my favorite places, and I simply love all the things that came with it, down to the minutest detail. To confess, I was back then fascinated by hair scissors.

Being a kid, I saw the hair scissors as the hairdresser's magic wand, with which she easily transforms my dull hair into a vibrant, sophisticated style. I often found myself catching a glimpse of the shiny steel material-I was amazed at how fast and precise it moved around my scalp.

Even yet, I can still recall how I would excitedly jump from my seat and adorn my new hairstyle in the mirror. Then I would usually scrutinize all the exciting hair styling tools which my hair stylist has in her drawer, including her pair of hair scissors.

It was made of premium steel, unlike the typical scissors which would easily get rusty after some years of usage. It was sleek as well, and very light in weight, making it a handy tool. It also had a very slim blade which allowed the hair stylist to smoothly cut hair strands into any style and length wished by the customer.

The hair scissors also had especially designed thumb rings which perfectly fitted the stylist's small hands. With this feature, hair cutting and styling need not to be taxing for the stylist, leaving some room for conversations between the client and the hair dresser.

As a kid, visits to the nearby salon were made fun and meaningful through those hair scissors.
