Happiness Can Be Managed

It's a humungous project to organize yourself so the entire rest of your life will always be happy

. You are excused if you think it is insurmountable or even impossible.

Competent managers will apply a chunking technique to complex or gigantic projects. They will divide it into stages and even assign parts to others.

Now this may seem very silly or trite or just common sense, but, you've heard it said that common sense isn't so common. Your lifetime can be broken into more easily managed parts. You can divide it into years, months, days or minutes. Consider chunking your remaining life into minutes. This will simplify your management of your humungous project.

When you string together a lifetime of happy minutes, you end up with a happy life. It is simply a matter of good management.

Here are some ways to turn sad moments into happy ones. Commitment - A half-hearted desire to live a happy life usually doesn't make it happen. Any behavior modification requires a firm commitment. Neural Programming - You need to reinforce this by repeating often and, at least, once a day a mantra or statement of purpose or a promise to yourself. Acceptance - Your mantra seems to work better when you do it at the beginning of each day while facing yourself in the mirror. Chunking - Realize it's easier when you commit yourself to this first day of the rest of your life. Guess where I learned that. Share - The support of your significant other can be rewarding.

Develop an ongoing state of happiness. Identify those people, events and activities which make you feel unhappy and develop a process for eliminating them from your daily existence while preserving your integrity and reputation. This seems to work better when you write them on a check-off list you refer to daily.

Distance yourself from the misery constantly invading your mind from your local news media. You can more easily detach yourself from the tragic events reported on a foreign (my favorite, Australian) radio station.

Practice smiling more. It enhances your serotonin levels and uplifts you. Practice forming your facial features into a genuine happy smile. You experience happy moments when more people will small back. Some will ask why you are so happy. Others may not say so but they can usually tell the instant they meet you if you are genuine, honest, and sincere. A dead giveaway is a phony smile.

Every time you see your reflection, smile. You are the nicest person you know. Begin the habit of seeking out reflective surfaces. Observers will not realize to whom or at what you are smiling. Retain that smile as long as you can.

Finally, continue to simplify which of these tips you adapt. Never go to bed without resolving sad moments. Practice until you become perfectly happy. Until you do achieve a continuously happy life, the journey can be quite enjoyable. Create your own happiness solutions.

Be happy! You owe it to yourself and your loved ones.
