The largest province of the country is Puntarenas. The city with maximum area in Central Pacific is Puntarenas city. It is located one hundred twenty kilometers westwards from capital city of San Jose. Puntarenas in Spanish means a "sandy point". It was earlier used as the country"s prime seaport. It is located in Gulf of Nicoya. This province in earlier times was an important key player in this country"s history. For many years, this province was chiefly used as the main seaport. However, today mainly cruise ships come here for stoppage and dropping down their anchors. Still it the port is used for fishing. This province offers local residents and visitors various kinds of fresh seafood like fish, shrimps and lobsters.

The Village called Ojochal is situated on southern part of Central Pacific coast of the nation. Ojochal is around thirty minutes due south from a place called Dominical and 30 minutes due north of a place called Palmar Norte. The residents of this village are welcoming and warm-hearted. The village has various restaurants, hotels, pubs and various leisurely activities. This small piece of paradise has many facilities including Doctor's clinic, Dentist's clinic, Bakery, Supermarket/mall, Hardware Store, Gas Station, Construction based companies, Taxi Services, Cyber Caf, Beauty Salon and much more. The diversity of culture represents the various facets of Central America itself. Ojochal has several scenic beaches and bounded by incredible mountains. Tourists are sure to have time of their lives and family vacation is never going to be so much fun. Two weeks of time is very less to explore this land in the best way a minimum time of three weeks or more shall give travelers the best thrills and cheer.
