Hermes Launched The One And Only Special Hermes Kelly 32 At Its Sewing Time Leather Exhibition

The intimate story between the Hermes brand and leather which lasts for 173 years was displayed by the leather goods treasured up by generations and the traditional craftsmanship in eight distinctive exhibition areas. In the beginning of the birth, Kelly Bag was "saddle bag" designed for the hunters. In 1930, on the basis of retaining the original style of Kelly Bag, Hermes made some adjustment of the size for the ladies' daily use. In 1956, the Kelly Bag finally got its name by naming after Morocco Princess Grace Kelly because of a charming and shiny cover photo full of feminine charm on "Life" magazine, and since then, Kelly Bag laid its successful status all over the world. It was the first time that Hermes matched the alligator leather with three different materials--feather, rose gold and diamond which come out in a quite natural way due to the superb craftsmanship. Appeared in a graceful and elegant way, the smooth honey-colored alligator purse porous body took four days work of the Hermes leather workshop in Paris. Arranged tightly, the golden pigeon feather embellishes the purse body just like Warriors' armor in front. This is specially designed by Ms. Couli Jobert, the Hermes creative director of leather goods and saddler, as her tribute to the Chinese traditional culture. The feather takes Lemari -the last feather processing master in Paris working for senior apparel industry 10 hours to arrange by hand. 229 brown diamonds were perfectly mounted on the top of the rose gold buckle, rich and harmonious in color, which is the fruit of painstaking labour of artisans' one month time work.
