Geneva, New York is located at the north end of Seneca Lake in Ontario and Seneca Counties

. It is about an hour's drive from Rochester in what is called the Finger Lakes Region of New York. Established in 1793 by the Pulteney Association, the town of Geneva is home to 11 buildings on the National Registry of Historic Places. A visit to these homes, landmarks and wineries makes for a world-class romantic getaway.

The Prouty-Chew House, circa 1829, is located on South Main Street. This Federal-style home was built by Charles Butler, a prominent attorney in Geneva. With original styling and Victorian furniture, the former home now serves as a museum. Rotating exhibits and period clothing can be found on display, with rich town history around every corner.

The Belhurst Castle Resort is celebrating its 120th year in Geneva, providing romance and elegance for couples looking to experience the history of the region. The nearby city of Seneca Falls is home to the Women's Rights National Historic Park and the National Women's Hall of Fame.
