House Painting in Jackson, TN

One day, as I was taking the dog on a walk as I had done every weekend for the past decade or so, I noticed that the house was looking a little worse for the wear. It is peculiar that I had noticed this only now as I have been walking in and out of the house to go to work or take my morning run. Maybe it had something to do with the way the light hit the house. It just looked tired and worn out, after all it did stand tall after years of sheltering my family from rain and the unforgiving sun when it shone its brightest at midday.

I thought that it needed a little bit of color. And since the kids were away to college and the wife won't mind since she was the one nagging me to fix up the house, it was finally time to do some house painting in Jackson TN. There were some exterior house painters that I knew that did a good job so I called them up planning to do the interior myself. It all happened without a hitch at least at first with the professionals coloring up the entire exterior by the end of the day. I myself was busy doing the best that I can inside painting over the worn out color on the walls.

When the wife came back home later that day, I was watching TV relaxing after a long day painting about a quarter of the house. She said that we could use some fresh colors for the house and why don't I use other colors instead of the old ones. I replied that I didn't want to change the color because she might not like the new ones. She said that yes she would like new ones instead and suggested new colors for every room. It was a good thing I didn't finish on one day I thought to myself because I was going to change them anyway. The following day, I continued painting the house but to my horror, the when I painted over the old paint which were darker, the new layer showed too much discoloration when compared to the freshly painted part of the wall. It looked like the inexperienced handiwork of someone who pretended to know much about painting and would use words like faux finishing painting and whatnot. What I did was to call somebody who did know about faux finishing: the same guys who did the exterior. I though that they did such a good job so why would I call another interior painting contractor? In the end, the exterior house painters became the interior house painters and both my wife and I were happy about the results.
