House perils Of Paranoia Review

The episode debuts with a court scene, where we are informed that the defendant uses a televised hockey game as an alibi

. However, the judge is not buying it, and the prosecutor seems to be on top of things. However, a heart attack prevents him from winning the case.

The case ends up in the lap of Dr. House, but only because Foreman lies and gets the patient to entrust himself to the doctor. Chase and Taub really think that the dean should get involved in a love affair.

Tommy is very careful with his health and gives House assurance that he only eats healthy food that he prepares at home. However, House thinks that Tommy is being poisoned by his wife.

In the meantime, Adams and Park go to Tommys house to search for more evidence. There, Park discovers a secret room placed behind what it looks like a regular bookcase. The secret room is filled with weapons, and the surprised look on Tommys wifes face tells them she had no clue her husband is paranoid about world succumbing to chaos.

House is the one that tries to get Adams and Park closer, but Park does not want any help. She claims she must be respected, and House clearly tells her that it is not a problem of respect she is sensing from the others. In other words, House says to her that the others simply do not like her.

Paranoia gets different shapes all throughout the episode. When Foreman gets to know a cute girl while at the gym, he is suspecting Taub for trying to set him up. When he calls the other to ask for a confirmation, Taub has a little too much on his hands, as one of his patients paints the glass walls with stool, as he things he is assaulted by a pack of bears.

Wilson is another one to fall to paranoia. He thinks House has a gun stashed somewhere, although the doctor denies everything. In his quest of finding the so called weapon, he gets stuck in a net trap. The situation becomes even more disturbed, when, after being freed from the net, Wilson somehow manages to lock House in his bathroom. In the end, the gun emerges, but House still denies it is a real weapon, and challenges Wilson to shoot at him, which Wilson does not, admitting defeat. On the other hand, House discovers that Tommy suffers from diphtheria.

The episode ends with a scene in the elevator, where Park simply asks Chase if he would go out for a drink with her. After hesitating at first, he says yes, much to her surprise. Foreman decides to meet with the female he knows from the gym, but she has a husband.
