Houses are houses, basically. Some bigger, some smaller and some dream houses but people need to live somewhere. A house is a building, home or structure that is a dwelling or place for habitation by human beings. The group of people that lives in a house is known as a household. Most usually, a household is a family unit of some kind, though households can be other social groups, such as single persons, or groups of unrelated individuals. A small house is what you make of it. Small house plans and designs help many realize their dreams of home ownership. Small home designs are eco-friendly in that they provide a tinier carbon footprint, use less trees to build, use less energy in the summer and winter months and generally consumer fewer materials in building and maintaining.

The idea of the dream house is that it is personal for each who wishes for one. A dream house for one may be a nightmare for another and vice versa. A dream house may be on a mountain, lake, stream, beach or moat. Biggest house is a term often used by those who have huge mansions or aspire to like movie stars or business moguls. A plantation is a large farm or estate where crops are grown for sale in distant markets, rather than for local consumption. When you think of the southern plantations you may think of the movie Gone with the Wind. Southern plantation life is the story of a system of production. Southern plantations go way back to the days of the slaves.

Plantation owners used these slaves as workers to pick their crops and even clean their homes. These old southern homes were beautiful and they defined history. There are some plantations that have been turned into apartments. You can rent these apartments and get an idea what life. Celebrity homes and the houses of the famous and rich have sparked the curiosity of many people for so many years. Celebrity homes tend to be mysterious. The houses owned by the famous and rich require more privacy than most dwellings. The rich and famous just live a little more stylishly than the rest of us do (as long as they continue to be wealthy that is).

Solar homes may entail many different types of residential housing based upon the use of the sun's energy to create power or heat for the house. When one thinks of solar homes, one is generally referring to those that use photovoltaic panels to capture the sun's energy and create electricity for the residence. Passive solar homes use the thoughtful design of the house and direction of the sun rays to warm the residence in winter and cool it in summer. These are all different types of houses and home that one can own or aspire to own. That is the good thing about the country in which we live. We have many choices at our disposal.
