Housework to No End

Every parent goes through this at one point in time. After a while, you have had enough and one day you just get so frustrated that you don't want to do any housework. That is where I am at.

It is unbelievable of how much housework there is. If I ever get caught up with it all, it wouldn't be long before the house is demolished again. I try to do what my mother-n-law suggests; do a load of laundry every day. I tried that, but one was not enough. Two or three loads of laundry a day would be more like it. The kid's laundry is hard to keep up with the most. Once I think I have all their laundry washed, I find some dirty laundry in the corner of their rooms, under the end table, in our bed room, bathroom, or even the kitchen. Then it takes forever to fold. I spend about five to ten minutes folding my laundry. My kid's laundry takes about thirty minutes or more. Their toys are another pain in my butt.

After picking up all their toys from all over the house; living room, kitchen, under tables and couches, etc, they take the toys out to play with again. Needless to say, our living room looks like a tornado went through it daily. Sometimes I feel like it is a waste of time to pick the toys up. Stepping on the toys makes me pick the toys up off the floor. When I step on a block with my bare feet I get so mad. It hurts! Or when the kids are in bed and I walk into a noisy ball that sets sailing across the floor. That sends me through the roof.

All in all, I came to the theory that kids purposely leave toys all over the place just to make us mad. Lastly, why is it when we are trying to check our e-mail, read a book, etc, the kids won't leave us alone? But when we are doing dishes, cleaning the floor, etc, they don't bother us?
