Housing Recovery In The Northwest Continues To Show Improvements

(1888PressRelease) Inventory levels of homes for sale reach lowest level since 2006

according to a report by the Northwest Multiple Listing Service.

Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA - The most recent sales release for October 2012 from the Northwest Multiple Listing Service shows promising news for Thurston and Pierce County home-owners and home-sellers. The housing market continues to show improvements with more than 6000 closed sales reported by real estate brokers in the 21 counties served by the Northwest Multiple Listing Service. Sales prices showed double digit increases compared to the same month last year with a 10.4 percent increase.

Pierce County has an approximate 2.5 month supply of inventory and Thurston County has approximately 3.8 months of inventory. "Thurston County typically trails slightly behind the larger counties to our north" according to Kim Showalter, broker at Epic Realty, Inc. "We expect to see the inventory levels in Thurston County continue to decrease. Our sales of Rob Rice Homes, are following the same brisk sales trends of resale homes." Showalter continued.
