Most of us have habits that we shouldn't be doing

. Some of smoke, drink, gamble, eat too much, don't work out enough, or spend too much. Whatever behavior it is that you are unhappy with, you can change it by using positive motivation.

Working out is a lot of work, and the rewards seem to come so slow. You can work out for months without seeing any change in weight or size. But, if you provide yourself with your own positive motivation, you might be able to work out just a little more regularly and a little harder each time. By providing your own positive motivation, such as buying a new outfit if you lose ten pounds, you will be motivated to keep going, even when you don't want to.

Smoking is a terrible habit, and one that is costing more and more, both in terms of health and the actual financial cost of the cigarette. But it is also one of the hardest things to quit. Imagine something that you would love in your life a vacation, a new car, or even the down payment on a home. Now, calculate out how many packs of cigarettes that would cost. A way of using positive motivation to help you quit cigarettes is to save that money you would have spent on smokes, and use it for something that you can enjoy for years to come.

This type of motivation requires that you are honest with yourself, and that you don't cheat. So, don't go on that vacation until you have stopped smoking! But, if you have that kind of will power that will help you keep yourself at your own word, then you really have the possibility to do anything you want in life, whether it is get healthier or get richer.
