Even in the best of situations, many men find it pretty tricky to get a girlfriend

, but it can be kind of hard no matter what you feel like your skill level is when you have moved to a new town or a new city. You don't know too many people, your social circle is small, and you might not even really know where to go out. You are feeling lonely and that makes you yearn to have a woman in your life even more. Yet, the more you yearn like that, the harder it seems to even come up with any ideas to meet someone that you might be able to click with and be attracted to at the same time.

That is a tough situation to deal with, but there is some hope for you. After all, it's a lot easier to make contacts nowadays than it used to be, so there is a bright side to your relocation. On the other hand, just because it is a little bit easier to make contacts, that does not mean that you are going to come across the kind of woman you want to date and make your girlfriend.

Here are some suggestions that you can use if you are living in a new city or town and want to meet a woman and hopefully end up with a girlfriend:

1) You can always check out the online dating sites to meet women in your area.

This is one situation where I think online dating really has the advantage. It can take a while to build up enough social contacts in a new town or city where you are going out to bars and clubs and meeting new people on a regular basis, so using an online dating site can be a good option for this. Especially if you join one that is more for dating and less for long term relationships. That way, you can casually date and meet women and it can help you to build up a new social circle as well as have a little bit of fun.

2) Leverage your co workers if you can.

You've probably got a new job if you are in a new town or a city and even if your coworkers are not exactly the kind of people that you want to be best friends with, it might be wise to take them up on any offers that they make to go and hang out. They might bring some of their friends along and that can help you to meet new people, including some new women. Plus, it always is a little more comforting to be out with people that you know, even if your real goal is to get a girlfriend.
