When you are throwing money away, it is very hard to run a profitable business

It sometimes takes being more creative and finding areas to improve that isnt always apparent. Looking at things at different angles and from different perspectives will be the key to solving the problem. The best way to look at things from different angles and different perspectives is by getting more people involved.

Everybody looks at things differently and if you ask them for their input, you are likely to get ideas and opinions that would never have thought of. This is a great way to get many different ideas in a short amount of time. It is important to involve different people from different areas of the company to work on the problem. This is part of building your team and you want people that will make good decisions and are knowledgeable about the situation.

You also want people on the team that will be directly and indirectly affected by whatever decisions are made. This is a way to ensure that the decisions that are being considered are in the best interest of everybody involved. Also, when people that are usually not asked for their opinion or consulted in decisions are asked to contribute, they are more likely to adhere to whatever changes are proposed. Also, if they are included in the decision making, then they will be more likely to buy into the changes and encourage other co-workers to buy into the changes.

Nothing is worse than implementing changes and having them fought every step of the way by employees that dont feel like they are necessary. In a perfect world, employees would always take the changes and run with them, but everybody knows that it is not the case. There is always a push back and resistance, especially by people that have been in their position for a long period of time. There is always a certain amount of resentment if they are not included in the decision making.
