. By reducing that pressure, your pain will in turn be alleviated. Remember the hurt finger? If you gently move your hand around that affected area, as if the surrounding air was smoothing it, all of the energy inside that finger that is bringing about the pain will move along with it. Sometimes, doing this will make it hurt a little more until all of the pressure is gone, though.
