How Podcast Interviews Saved A Business
Business owners, whether online or offline all worry about profit
. The lack of it can cause the downfall of their businesses. After all, aren't businesses made to make a profit? If not, what's the use? Let me tell you about a business owner I know who almost lost his business if not for podcast interviews.
An acquaintance of mine owns a fairly reputable printing shop. He handled the printing needs of various other companies, from sardine makers to calendar manufacturers. His business was a young 5 years old when things started to go awry. At first, it seemed as if all that was happening were just minor setbacks. Some of his clients pulled out and went elsewhere due to a sudden rise of the number of printing businesses. What kept him afloat was the contract of one business. So much so that if that client pulled out, he would have to close down his business.
He was in dire straits, looking for ways to boost his profits and save his business. Seeing the high prices of self-help books and ebooks, he steered clear from those. Then he discovered podcast interviews. Seeing that he didn't have too many options, he gave the interviews a chance. He watched a few, then learned all about Internet marketing. With minimal investment, he started his own website, followed what the gurus told him to do, and made sure to promote his business as well as he could. After a short 6 months, he was enjoying profits from his printing business beyond his wildest dreams, and as a bonus, was earning some pocket money from his Internet marketing ventures.
When I first heard his story, I was skeptical because none of the podcast interviews available were about printing. Then, it struck me. He was able to watched the interviews from Internet marketing gurus, and was able to devise a strategy that used the Internet marketing techniques to help his own business. One interview he kept on mentioning was the Ken Evoy interview. I checked it out, and indeed, Ken Evoy talked about how to start in the Internet marketing business and the way he teaches it, anyone can start.
So if by watching podcast interviews, a business was saved, what more if your business is booming? Imagine the profits you'll rake in. As for me, I'm a believer and in fact, am starting to study and trying to devise my own plan to help me and my own business.
