How To Achieve Brilliant Goals And Avoid Gaining Extra Weight In The New Year

When we look back over the last year since our last pause for Christmas and New Year

, we realize that the world have experienced tremendous and exhilarating change. With the spine-tingling events of the last three years, we are ever reminded that life is like a haze. The true length of our life, compared to the marching of time, is small and fleeting. Its therefore, a perfect time to reflect on our business and personal goals, and ponder the extent of our achievements against our set business targets and private resolutions.

Its also a great time to look forward to a well deserved interlude of rest and recreation with friends and loved ones, complemented by a menu of fine foods and fine wines. This process is usually followed by a brand new New Years resolution to revisit our benchmark of business aspirations, and the array of personal endeavors for the year ahead, including but not limited to, loosing that acquired extra weight that weve gained in a short span of time!

But it doesnt have to be this way, we can achieve amazing outcomes by visualizing our goals around the clock every day of the year, and apparently, we can also avoid gaining weight by the same fashion!

A new study published in the Journal Science has found that people who visualize eating every bite, chew and swallow of a craved food and wines -- especially in great quantity -- may eat and drink less than people asked to imagine other things.

So why is that when we visualize having abundance of wealth or envisioning the achievement of our a desired goals, the effect on us are quite the opposite from visualizing eating our foods? According to the study researcher Carey Morewedge, a Carnegie Mellon University psychologist, that's because we habituated to the food just by imagining it and may consequently find ourselves feeling full and our craving satisfied sooner when we actually eat it.

He stresses that, detail is key. "Merely thinking of our delicious food does increase our appetite for the food," Morewedge told LiveScience, "but if we perform the mental imagery that would accompany its actual consumption, this kind of thought actually decreases our desire for the food."

The message therefore is loud and clear. Utilizing your imagination and visualization to transform your dreams into successful outcomes and goals that you are striving for, requires you to invoke every emotion and every burning desire that you have deep inside your powerful sub-conscious mind. Equally, and with the same intensity and clarity, visualize yourself eating your favorite foods, bite by bite, before every meal. This will help manifest into the feeling of being full and therefore you will less likely to gain extra weight.
