How To Build Muscles At home Without Weights


There are many different ways to build muscles. Of course there is weight lifting for bodybuilders, isometric exercises, bodyweight exercises etc. But in this article I want to focus on building muscles at home and in such a way that you wont need any weights or equipment.

Now it depends on what you want. If you want to build big bulky muscles I recommend you to do push ups, squats or sit ups in harder variation so that you will only be able to do reps in the range of 8 to 15. Now you are probably thinking push ups are easy and you can easaly do 15 to 25 reps but believe when I say that there are push up variations out there so hard that you wish you would be able to do 10 reps in proper form. Now I will give you 3 tips you should have in mind when you start training at home.


1. Training Plan: train at least 3 times a week. You can add more days if you wish but give your body the rest it needs. Do 3 sets of 8-15 reps.

2. When you are getting bored with your exercises then simply switch to another more difficult variation. You can change your push ups, squats or sit ups any time you want to. You could even change them any other workout-day. 3 times a week would mean 3 different kind of workouts. That will keep you fresh and you wont get bored easily.

3. Give your body rest. If you feel sore and you need a couple days off (especially in the beginning) then give your body the time it needs to heal and grow your muscles because muscles don't grow during the training but during the healing process that happens afterwards.

Your body will get used to it pretty soon so don't worry.

If you prefer leaner muscles then I recommend you do more reps and easier variations plus you should so some jogging or riding a bike or whatever suits you best. Any kind of activity that raises your heart beat is good for losing fat. Rope jumping or shadow boxing or hitting the sandbag are very good too. You see there are many things you can do, just be creative and do things that are fun and don't think of it as a kind of workout but rather as a kind of free time activity.

Oh and another thing. Take before and after pictures so can see the changes that your body has made. You will be amazed at how much you body changes in a month. If you look at the mirror everyday wont be able to see it so take pictures.
