Dieting can be a good way to treat perimenopausal symptoms. Lower your intake of junk foods i.e. cut down on fatty and oily foods. Instead eat foods which are high in protein and rich in complex carbohydrates. Proteins are good sources of amino acids which are the building blocks of enzymes and hormones. And complex carbohydrates take time to break into glucose and hence you will be full of energy all throughout the day.

Exercising also helps to fight the symptoms of perimenopause. May be does not help to treat hormone imbalance but it helps to treat with its symptoms such as stress, anxiety, restlessness etc. It is not necessary that you have to hit the gym. Simple free hand exercises or walking that extra mile or using the staircase instead of the elevator will also help.
