Pillows and throws are some of the more popular items for adding that Native American touch in a room. They give that impression of a comfortable, inviting space without being too visually imposing.

Masculine upholstered furniture is another important factor for achieving the Southwestern theme. Get furniture pieces made of dark woods. Scratched, faded and worn furniture are a better addition to a Southwestern room because the distressed look better creates that impression of a look from the cowboys-and-Indians era. Make the room as rustic as possible, and you should be able to pull off the look quite well.
